As long as I can remember I’ve had a paintbrush in my hand, drawing anything and everything I came in contact with. But my main inspiration has always been from nature or moments from my personal life.

That inspiration took me to Mississippi College where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Art Education. Since then I’ve worked full-time as an art teacher and artist.

I am drawn to many mediums such as oil paint or watercolor, but most recently soft pastels are my chosen medium because of their unique ability to balance the precision of drawing with the fluidity of painting. The tactile nature of pastels, with their rich pigments and delicate texture, allows me to explore a vast range of light and shadow. I believe art is finding beauty in simplicity, giving an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the beauty around us.
